Shopping for Apple’s clothes…

I am linking some of my favourite Instagram and Etsy shops that I buy Apple’s clothes from. I love the unique styles you can find from some amazingly talented people. It is so fun being able to create some unique items when small shops sew custom colour ways.
Bonnets and Hats

(Baby turban style hats that are soft, comfortable and fit much longer than the size says! They also run a preemie program by sending a hat in teeny size to preemies in the hospital.)
(My main go to for Apple’s bonnets. We have had many custom made adding bunny ears and special inside colours. Great fit and Canadian made.)

Knit Clothing
(Quality is amazing and the colour choices are endless! We have had so many pieces made from rompers to bloomers, socks to hats and matching blankets. I have loved every item.)
(Her classic mustard colour bloomer with white trim and all the simple knit rompers are perfect staples in the baby’s wardrobe.)
(Sweet little knit hats with a pom pom and rompers and bloomers to match.)

(This is probably one of my favourite brands. A little luxury line that give the classic feel and I wear over and over on Apple. I order my items from Hello Leuie in Vancouver, Canada)

Westcoast Baby

(Made of the softest bamboo material with the greatest slim fit this was a classic and favourite for Kingsley and Apple as baby.)

(The basics are made from a lovely stretch cotton. They mix and match so you can create many looks from a few pieces. The seasonal collection is stylish and cute. All items wash amazing!)

Penny & Co

(The original angel wing tops and outfits. We have a few of their tops and they make any outfit extra cute!)

(If you want comfortable and stylish Woodbean is the go to! We had a couple custom items made and wow they are great!! I especially love the mint and polkadot colours she uses.)

(For both boys and girls Childhoods clothing is cute wardrobe basics. I loved Apple in her newborn sweastuits!)

Candy Kirby Designs

(Our favourite Tee’s for a good price! We have bought every girl colour for each size and stage Apple has needed. I have also bought their long nightgowns. Another well made and soft brand!)

Wheat Kids Clothing

(From the tights to tutu’s they have great quality and style! Unique clothing that is Danish designed.)

Mini Boden

(I buy their five pack basic onsie top each season. They usually make them in a floral and stripe.)

(A great selection of fashionable and unique baby outfits. Hand made and oh so cute!!)

Comparing the Peg Perego Siesta and the Baby Bjorn high chair…

I have been asked a few times what high chair I recommend for babies. I have used many brands of chairs previously for my older boys and Kingsley. I can confidently say that Peg Perego is my favourite all around practical chair. I had purchased Peg Perego Prima Pappa’s for each of the boys and it was always durable, comfortable, easy to roll around and overall a win. The new Siesta I got for Apple is perfect!

I also own the baby Bjorn high chair so I am going to show some side by side photos. The Bjorn is a really good option for a compact chair that is incredibly easy to wash!
When I suggest brands or products I really like to tell why I pick something and to help you make the right choice. This is often why I prefer to show my top choices and let you decide what fits your home best.
The Peg Perego :: the full feature high chair
I love the Peg Perego because it is soft and padded for the baby. It also has a nice recline if you chose to use it at a younger age as a seat for a smaller baby while cooking or doing dishes. The wheels are something I know I can not live without. I spend a lot of time cooking and being in the kitchen. (A relaxing pastime for me.) I like to chat up my babies so it is nice to be able to wheel them around and near me. There are simple “stop” and “go” buttons for the brake. The footrest makes for a comfortable seat for the baby and it is totally cozy to sit in longer while watching mommy. The tray is a double tray and that is good to easily run under hot water when it gets super messy! The pocket behind the seat provides storage for her bib and the height adjustment can be set to tall for interaction or short for feeding or watching little brother play. I have never had issues scrubbing down my seats with the “leatherish” fabrics and of course the vinyl that I had for Braedy eighteen years ago was simple to wash. It comes with a five point harness that holds baby in place well and can be converted to three point (only waist area).

The Baby Bjorn :: a compact option.
Once again this is daddy’s love! He has troubles feeding Apple at times and makes quite the mess. He likes how easy it is to wipe down after they finish feeding. It usually looks like a bomb of food went off on her chair! It has a nice small footprint for those who are space conscious. I really love it pulled up to the table as a chair when we eat. It tucks right in perfectly. The double tray is a moderate size and washes under hot water in a snap! The chair is made with a three point harness so it is easy to buckle. The chair can fold if you needed to put it out of the way when you have company. I really think this would be great for grandparents.

Apple loves her Joovy Spoon baby walker…

One of the differences of living in the US with Apple is being able to buy a baby walker! (Canada doesn’t have them.) We love our Joovy Spoon walker!! I say “we” because I swear I love it as much as she does. We thankfully do not have any stairs in our house so she gets to cruise with freedom! She bascially runs in this walker.
Some of the features I love on our Joovy Spoon is the huge tray, padded seat, clean white colour (no ugly prints!), a removable washable tray if I give her snacks and it’s roll is so smooth because of the high quality wheels!
I totally recommend the Joovy brand walker. After using it for over a month we have not had a single complaint!
They have a few colours to choose from but we wanted simple grey.
